中国当代艺术中符号化的表现方式已经不足为奇，但是曾健勇带着他的那帮黑领巾学生仍然飞快地突围，在众多的展览里引起广泛关注，这个迅速冒头的家伙是何许人?

　　“我是黑领巾，我怕谁”，孩子们的脸上散发出单纯又复杂的光芒

　　曾健勇，广东澄海人，语言天赋不高，混在北京几年，由于潜心作画至今普通话说不利索。学的是国画专业，说起来应该是舞文弄墨的主儿，可曾健勇不肯墨守成规，他做过绘本、多媒体、三维动画，甚至还操持过家族的服装生意，手下有好几百号人。说他是商人转型他会很绅士地微笑着纠正你：“服装生意只有一年时间。”总之，最重要的是对艺术的梦从未泯灭。2007年，曾健勇举家进京，就读于中央美术学院版画研修班，全新的生活令曾健勇激情燃烧。这一年曾健勇36岁，他在日记里写到：“以36岁高龄混入798与中央美术学院，重回艺术和校园让我兴奋得如同热锅上的蚂蚁一样蠢蠢欲动。不管Puma、Nike的双肩背包，还是LV、Gucci的手提袋，我永远执著地统统叫它们书包，这是一种情结。”

　　《大队长》是曾健勇最受到广泛关注的作品，准确尖锐，以中国校园特有的“等级”划分为题材，安静的画面下传递而出的却是无声的抗争

　　这个有着严重校园情结的广东佬，实际上已经是一个10岁孩子的父亲。孩子的出生除了延续生命还有着另一个意义，令父母在抚育子女的同时与他共同成长。随着孩子成长中遇到的各种变化和问题，促成了曾健勇作为职业画家的一系列命题。在当时，2007年的798画廊里几乎见不到水墨的踪迹，作为古旧的传统派别，水墨入不得当代艺术的洪流，当代水墨的艰难现象更是激发了曾健勇闯出名堂的决心。还是传统的毛笔、墨、手工宣纸，还是汤汤水水地画，但表现形式上却是全新的视觉效果。尤其是对油画、版画、绘本、卡通的吸收，令曾健勇摸索出独特的个人技法，就像他喜欢苏东坡和莫兰迪一样，互不关联，却又似乎合情合理、互相激发。

　　接下来就是一系列的童年题材，《闲着》《大队长》《成长》《伙伴》均在海内外引起强烈反响。朦胧的画面里隐隐渗透出的大脑袋、大眼睛、放空的眼神、血丝的脸颊、黑色的领巾，单纯而又复杂。孩子们面无表情的脸上却散发出光芒，那种亲切的陌生感、距离感，令观者产生丰富尖锐的联想，呈现出诸多矛盾的体验。至于曾健勇内心的态度，画面里孩子们永远的黑领巾便是谜底的答案。

　　I Am a Fearless Black Guard

　　It's not surprising to use symbolic expression in Chinese contemporary art, but Zeng Jianyong, together with his little black guards, still break though quickly and raise wide attention among multitude of exhibitions. Who is the exceptional guy?

　　"I am a fearless little black guard." the children's faces radiate a mixture of innocence and sophistication.

　　Zeng, born in Chenghai, Guangdong Province, is not so talented in language that even after a few years in Beijing, he still can't speak Mandarin very well because of concentration in painting. Majoring in Chinese painting, he should be a literary man. On the contrary, he did picture books, multimedia, three-dimensional animation, and even managed his family's clothing business in charge of several hundred people. If you say he was originally a businessman, he will correct you with a gentlemanly smile: "clothing business has only lasted for one year." Anyway, the most important is that the dream for art has never faded away. In 2007, Zeng's whole family moved to Beijing and he attended Beijing's Central Academy of Fine Art specializing in printmaking. The new life made him burning with passion. Zeng, 36 at that time, wrote in his diary: "As a 36-year-old man, I lingered in the Central Academy of Fine Arts and 798, too excited for returning to art and campus to keep calm. Regardless of Puma, Nike backpack, or LV, Gucci bag, I would call them all schoolbags, which is a complex. "

　　"Headers", the most widespread work of Zeng's, is sharp and accurate to reflect the specific rank in Chinese school and presents silent protest though peaceful pictures. This Canton man with a deep campus complex, in fact, is already the father of a 10-year-old child. In addition to prolonging the life, the child's birth still has another meaning that both parents grow up with him in the process of upbringing. As the child grows up, a variety of changes and problems they encountered inspired a series of subjects, which make Zeng a professional painter. In 2007, you could hardly find ink painting in 798 galleries. The reality that ink, an old traditional faction, was not accepted by the contemporary art, inspired Zeng's determination to do something. Finally, he achieved a brand-new visual effect through traditional skills and tools such as brush, ink and handmade paper. Especially drawn on oil paintings, prints, picture books and cartoons, Zeng explored a unique technique. As he admires Su Dongpo and Morandi simultaneously, it's seems unrelated but actually reasonable and mutually stimulating.

　　Then, a series of childhood themes like "Idle" "Headers" "Growth" "Partners" sparked quite a stir at home and abroad. The obscure pictures of large head, big empty eyes, bloodshot face and black scarf are all simple and complicated. Children's faces were blankly emitting light. The friendly strangeness and sense of distance provide the audience with a rich and sharp imagination and a contradictory experience. As to Zeng's inner attitude, the eternal little black guard in the picture is the answer to the question.
