The 10th Asian Art Festival will be staged in central China's Henan province from September 26 to October 8, according to sources with the provincial government Sunday. The festival, co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and the provincial government, will attract more than 20 performance troupes from the Asian countries and 10 domestic troupes. With the theme of "Harmonious Asia and Happy Gathering in Henan," the festival will be staged in Zhengzhou, the capital city and Kaifeng, a historical city of the province. Since its debut in Beijing in 1988, the once-a-year event has lured more than 140 art troupes from 30 Asian countries and regions, and nearly ten million viewers.
