致所有关心支持2020年第二届田野双年展（自贡）的朋友们：

红土地——2020第二届田野双年展（自贡）征集公告自发布之日起，受到了社会各界的广泛关注。目前，新冠状病毒感染肺炎疫情的防控工作正处在关键时期，全球蔓延的局势更是令大家紧张不安，值此危难之际，我们需要众志成城，做好防控隔离工作，避免聚集，共渡难关。

今年由于受疫情影响，国际评委、国际顾问以及国际艺术家也很难到达现场，再加上乐德红土地的最佳观景期是三四月份，作品才能够与环境相得益彰，因此不得不考虑将第二届田野双年展推迟。田野双年展组委会经再三商议做出如下决定：原定于2020年3月15日将在四川自贡荣县举办的“红土地——2020第二届田野双年展（自贡）”将推迟至2021年3月份举行，给您带来的不便，我们深表歉意。同时，征集时间也将延期至2020年12月31日。评选日期、新闻发布会以及艺术家入驻时间也将相应推迟。敬请关注“田野双年展”公众号，了解活动进展。

从前两个阶段所征集到的百余件作品方案来看，大多数作品方案都充满了想象力和创造力，并围绕主题“红土地”所代表的农耕文化做了当代的尝试和转换。也许是时间仓促的原因，有部分作品方案考虑不周，没有突出在地性、互动性等特点，希望在接下来的时间，广大投稿者能够继续完善作品方案，深化、细化作品主题，并考虑作品的可实施性，能够在充裕的时间内做出更加优秀的方案。正所谓“好事不怕晚”，充足的准备时间或可筹备出更加高质量、高水准的田野双年展。

To all those who care about and support the Second Field Biennale 2020 (Zigong)：

Since the release of the solicitation notice, Lateritic Land - the Second Field Biennale 2020 (Zigong), has attracted wide attention of all circles of the society. At this critical moment of the epidemic prevention and control of COVID-19, while the global spreading makes the situation more disturbing, we need to work together to overcome all difficulty times by doing the best in prevention and control as well as avoiding gatherings.

Due to the epidemic, it is difficult for judges, consultants and artists all over the world to arrive at the scene. In addition, the best viewing period of the red land in Lede is March and April when artistic works and the landscape can complement each other. As a result, we might have to consider the postponement of the 2nd Field Biennale. After much deliberation, the Organizing Committee of the Field Biennale has decided that Lateritic Land - the Second Field Biennale 2020 (Zigong), originally scheduled to be held in Rong County, Zigong, Sichuan Province, on March 15, 2020, will be postponed to March, 2021, and the deadline for work submission, December 31, 2020. At the same time, the dates for selection, press conference and for artists to set works will be postponed accordingly. We apologize for all the inconvenience caused by the postponement. During the first two stages, more than 100 works were submitted, most of which are imaginative and creative with contemporary attempts and transformations around the farming culture represented by the theme "Lateritic Land". Perhaps due to limited time, some of the works are not well considered and do not highlight the features of locality and interactivity. We expect contributors, in the rest of the year, continue to improve designs, deepen and refine themes, and consider the feasibility of their works, for even better works with enough time. As it says, "good things are never too late", enough preparation time may help with the preparation of a field biennale of higher quality and level.
