当你漫步在遵义会议纪念馆，于历史的烟云中沉思的时候，陡然间抬头看见了大型雕塑《历史转折》时，你必定会为这一作品伟岸的气势所震撼，它就是雕塑家廖凯的作品。廖凯1986年开始事雕塑事业。在进一步的学习与实践中逐步形成了自己的一些艺术特征，特别是在纪念性雕塑方面有较强的创新能力。近年来，廖凯成功创作了大量大型红色题材雕塑作品：2004年，为遵义会议纪念馆创作大型长征题材雕塑《历史转折》。同年，又为贵州省开阳县张学良将军幽禁地纪念馆创作石雕作品《张学良将军》。2005年，为独山抗日纪念馆创作大型抗日题材雕塑《黔南怒潮》。2006年，为四渡赤水纪念馆创作大型雕塑作品《四渡赤水》。2007年，为红军长征青杠坡战斗遗址创作大型战争题材雕塑《青杠坡战斗》。

　　廖凯的系列作品得到了社会各界的广泛赞誉和肯定。历史在这里定格，艺术在这里升华——我们也看到了一个艺术家的呕心沥血。

　　作品《历史转折》所展现的场景，是1935年遵义会议的那间小小的会议室，所刻画的是决定中国革命和中国工农红军命运的20个风云人物。

Liao Kai sculpturing Historical Events and Ingenious military

　　When rambling in the Zunyi Memorial Museum and meditate in historical smoke, you suddenly raise your head and see the large-scale sculpture " the Historical Turning Point" , you certainly will be shaked by the great momentum of the work. It was sculptor Liao Kai`s work. Liao Kai began his sculpture career in 1986.  In further study and practice, he gradually formed his own artistic features, especially had strong innovation capability in monumental sculptures .In recent years, Liao Kai has successfully created a lot of large- scale sculpture works on monumental theme. Liao Kai`s series of sculpture works has gained praise and affirm affirmative generally from all sectors of society. The history is frozen here, the art is sublimated here--we see an artist works his heart out.

　　The scene showed by the work "the Historical Point" is the small meeting room of Zunyi conference in 1935, and described the 20 influential men who decided the fate of Chinese revolution and the Chinese Workers-Peasants Red Army.
