莫伟龙先生为香港东方陶瓷协会的终身会员以及香港大学博物馆的创始成员之一。已有逾40年的收藏经历，莫先生对于亚洲艺术品的热爱源自其早期工作及游历经历。他的藏品亦包含各国艺术，如韩国、印度以及菲律宾，但中国艺术品仍然在其藏品中佔有最大之比例，这既是因为先生对于中国艺术品的情有独钟，亦得利于香港完善的艺术品交易市场。莫伟龙先生首先开始收藏中国当代绘画，后来逐渐涉足其他领域如陶器、三彩、宋瓷、青铜以及石雕造像。本次拍卖，我们将重点推出其多年来所珍藏的青铜器、宋瓷和石雕，全部均会以无底价的方式上拍。

The Moore collection began almost 40 years ago through travel throughout Asia stimulating an interest in Asian art both by observation and meeting colleagues who had built up world class collections of antiques from places such as Indonesia and Korea through the 1970s. This collection includes items from Korea, India and the Philippines, but the majority are connected with China: because both of a keen interest in the history and development of China, but also convenience being located in Hong Kong. The starting point of the collection was modern Chinese paintings, it developed into other areas including earthenware, sancai figures, Song ceramics, bronzes and stone sculpture. This sale concentrates on bronze, sancai and stone sculpture. The collector is a life-time member of the Hong Kong Oriental Ceramic Society and a founding member of the University of Hong Kong Museum Society. All lots in this sale will about to be sold without reserve.
