古钱币极具观赏性与历史价值，因此古钱币如同其他古玩一样被藏家们所青睐。中国最早的钱币元祐通宝，因在市场是极其少见的一种珍稀古钱币，是货币历史的实物，由于早已不在流通领域，留存下来的亦少之极少，更是历史的见证。元祐通宝行、篆双体小平钱，钱文为文化大家所书，形制、铸造俱美。从钱币铸造专业来说，这样的钱币面文，应该是当时钱监经由皇帝同意设计，而不是宋代的错版钱币。推陈出新，制作特别板式，而且存世、流传几无，是试铸钱币无疑。
