诗意行走 唯美至上

  那一刻,他按动快门,不在于相机随之响起的悦耳之声,全在于那一时刻因景泛生的种种心灵的潮音和故事。那一天,他避入暗房,那些神奇的地方和奇异的风俗,天涯旧痕,过尽飞鸿,总是如此地牵动着他的情怀。那一月,他流连穿梭于那些古老的边村老镇中,不为散淡光阴所铺陈的落花飞絮般的诗意轻愁,却是深深感触于这里的人们市井俗尚的平常。那一年,他行走在未名远方的路上,不在于忘情山水的游憩,只为了追逐从他乡和故乡天空掠过的云彩。这一世,他知道的,手中的相机,已经与他的身心连成一体,不谈功名利禄,只为记录下这世间更多的美好景象。

  于是,在朝霞蒸蔚的清晨,在红云漫天的黄昏,在色彩缤纷的秋日,在瑞雪飘零的冬天……年复一年,每个季节,摄影家邓正龙就这样背着沉重的摄影器材,于山水雄秀、风情浓郁的中国西部大地上辗转往返,寻寻觅觅。珠穆朗玛峰的风倦了,纳木措的湖水冰封了,尼洋河水潮涨了;云南东川红土地的庄稼绿了,川西高原的牧草丰美了,新疆喀纳斯的秋林五彩斑斓了;哀牢山中人开始隆重的山祭了,哈尼族人摆上长街宴了,中山古镇上的人们又沉浸在古老的年节习俗中了……就像安装在中国西部大地上的一架昼夜不停运转的摄像机探头,抑或一枚敏感的气象元件,那神奇山水的每一处微弱变化和远乡古镇的冷暖更替,也就一再深深地刺激着邓正龙先生的每一根灵感末梢,唤起他永不疲倦的创作热情。

  于是,在那些流诗淌韵的光影诱惑下,我的视线也就走进了彩云之南的云南,红土地上成块成面铺陈的华彩,很好地渲染了那片土地丰收的喜悦;就走进了“世界屋脊”的青藏高原,从洪荒走来的闪闪雪峰,是天地间横陈的浩渺浩际和苍茫壮丽;就来到了内蒙古的额济纳,枯枝盘绕苍穹的胡杨林,依然以一种讴歌生命的姿态,在冰冷的天光中独立;就来到了那些巷弄逼仄、青瓦连天的往日家园,那让人备感亲切的袅绕炊烟,足以让人温暖得心里流泪。当然还有静穆的雪原,焕发宝石般光彩的湖泊和金光闪烁的层层梯田。庄重与温润,灵动与智慧,当大自然最瑰丽而微妙的光彩穿越历史的风尘远影凸显眼前的时候,我的思绪却在这些唯美的光影构成中飘进飘出。所有的这一切,都不得不让我们感动于摄影家在摄影道路上数以十余载、持之以恒的求索与探究。1981年,酷爱摄影却一直生活在都市中的邓先生平生第一次远足到当时尚称为南坪的四川九寨沟时,即被那里绝美的自然风光所震撼。他没有想到,天,原来可以这样的蓝;水,原来可以这样的绿;山林可以这样的葱茏,空气也可以这样的清新。“从那一刻起,我知道我的心就在也不属于我了,它从此开始向往着那些更加遥远的山水了”。那一次的远足也使邓先生获得了他在摄影艺术上的第一个金奖。然而,摄影家良好的艺术品质和他对艺术的真诚,使他并没有为功名所累,而是以更加纯真的创作态度,追光逐日地行走在中国西部的山山水水间。

  这种创作的无功利性,带来的是作品的纯粹性。综观邓先生的摄影作品,大景气势恢弘,诗韵流淌;小品细腻精到,赏心悦目。其作品尤为讲究光影,那洋溢的阳光味道和迎面而来的泥土气息,使我们得以在瞬间就领略到华彩滋生而富于生命律动的美、富于生动生活气息的美、融入真情的美。因为热爱,所以张扬个性;因为自由,所以洋溢喜悦;因为率真,所以朴实;因为坚韧,所以充满力量。而摄影家特殊的心绪气质,又让作品有了更加宽泛的审美性张力。尤其是作品展现出来的辉煌、明快、绚丽、神秘,以及胸有成竹地将表现对象化为直抒胸臆的意象表达,实在让人在品味光影、感到悦目的同时,又予人以梦幻与憧憬的印象。“当一幅美丽的风景出现在我眼前的时候,我看到的不只是物理的世界。一切都是那样的美好,充满了灵动的细节,而这些细节也往往唤起我无限的激情,即便是自然界那些转瞬即逝的现象雾、水的反射,风拂动水草的涟漪等等,我相信那是大自然对我灵魂的邀约,我也就一再试图从中寻找到一些绝对和永恒的东西,努力地摒弃对如此美丽光景的简单记录和机械复制,实在是想把我那一刻所感受到的美好希望和天地灵气,在许多年以后,依然能够带给更多的人”。这在功利主义哲学和市侩作风日渐盛行的今天,无疑是难能可贵的。正如邓先生所言,大自然是众美之源,即便是纯粹的山水风光作品,也实在是人的心灵之美与自然之美相会、相知、相交的产物,它让心灵怦然而动,那种快乐其实也是更接近人生终极的追求;而身边的题材,只要在表现技巧上精益求精,也能不断地从平凡事物中拍摄出不平凡的作品,从而使得在今天倍加忙碌的普通民众,得以一再地从他们一度无暇顾及或者熟视无睹的亲切场景中找到令人惊叹的美丽,由此反省出平常生活中的种种“好”来。而很多时候,邓先生也常常流连穿梭于川渝古镇那些古老的建筑群落中。他说,那些逼仄的巷弄、青瓦的屋顶、倾斜的门柱、斑驳的老墙,“实在让人倍感亲切”。于是,当古镇一家两家的窗户亮出橘黄的灯光的时候,当青瓦屋顶上升起袅绕的炊烟并迎着晨曦渐次弥漫的时候,当第一缕阳光悄悄地投在古镇墙壁上的时候,当庭院大门的开阖声,茶铺、包子抄手店、酸辣粉店的铺板门拆卸的声音依次响起的时候,敏感于光阴微妙变化的邓先生便频频按动快门,“我以为,它们传递的是古镇自古以来血脉跳动的声音,我会在暗房中仔细擦亮它们的面容,以唤起人们对曾经欢乐时光的记忆”。所以,一页页地翻阅下去,我们看到的是一幅幅精美的图像,由衷感动于他对光影世界的用心触摸。构图的精到,用光的精妙,细节的精微,尤其是立意的精巧,确实给我们以种种意想不到的惊喜及和风细雨般的心灵慰藉。我想,除了摄影家敏锐而充满诗情的眼光之外,也与他多年来一直坚持使用大画幅相机不无关系吧。大画幅相机所带来的焦点清晰、影调细腻、质感真切等优点,很好地实现了邓先生所崇尚的创作理想,尤其是它改变透视效果的功能,很好地表达了摄影家的创作初衷。影像在超越我们观察世界尺度的同时,也为我们呈现出一个亦真亦幻的世界和一种崭新的审美观念。而笨重、全手动、操作程序烦琐的大画幅相机,也使他在充分享受摄影“过程美”的同时,始终都能在具体的摄影创作活动中,保持一颗宠辱皆忘的“平常之心”。当然,这种“平常”,是情感交织积淀、取景取舍斟酌之后的“平静态”,由此而使作品凸显意境美。所以邓先生一再说:“大画幅相机给我带来了巨大的快乐。它的速度是要慢一些,但速度慢未必就是坏事,它让我对表现对象更加精心。”无疑,我们触目心动的原因是因为摄影家作品无处不透露出来的诗意和智性。风光作品的人文化,人文作品的风光化,使其摄影的平面图像学意义大为丰富。摄影家在创作活动中的情感倾诉,通过摄影技法的灵活使用而得以淋漓尽致的表达。比如,通过多次曝光带来影像的虚实变化,通过大画幅相机的“移轴”来表现物象的纤毫毕现,通过冷暖、明暗的色调对比来突出空间的奇异诡谲等等,都很好地表现出摄影家极富特质的内心感受,也完美地展示了他的艺术理想。是啊,是哪一方秘境的澄怀之水在低唱浅吟?是哪一刻光阴的微妙斑斓在古老的建筑上漫过?该是第一缕初春的气息化开的那一抹绿吧,也定是入冬最销骨的那阵寒霜激活了的那一片红……今天,当邓正龙先生把一幅幅精心拍摄的影像精致地展现在我们面前的时候,我们便不约而同地领略到了那些遥远的风情和美丽,仿佛行走于诗意间,得到诗情画意般地享受。“天与地隔得太远,雨丝把它们相连;山与山隔得太远,云海把它们相连”,你与我离得太远,但在此刻,它们触动的思绪或许就让陌生的你我因此而心灵相通了吧?

  于是惊叹!为这“诗意的行走”。

  To be an Aesthete Walking Poetically on the Land

  Every time when he clicks the shutter, his heart always feels an upsurge of emotion with the great sound pleasing to the ear. When he is in the darkroom, his mind is always full of a myriad of thoughts and ideas about all mysterious and amazing places he has ever been to and fascinating natural views and human landscapes which he has recorded with his lens and has been lingering in his mind. He once spent one month strolling in tranquil old towns and villages, enchanted by the local people’s unique ways of life and splendid cultures and folk customs. In a whole year, he walked day and night on paths full of twists and turns in rural mountainous areas of his hometown, seizing the right moments to get perfect images of nature. The camera in his hand has become important part of his heart and soul, which pay no attention to fame and fortune.

  In the morning when the rosy clouds are slowly rising, at dusk when the setting sun is kindling the sky, in colorful autumn when leaves are turning yellow and red and fruits are getting ripe, and in winter when seasonable and white snow is falling in soft flakes, photographer Deng Zhenglong walks alone on the land of the western regions of China, pursuing dreams from the bottom of his heart.

  He is amazed and moved enormously by the wind blowing across the grand Mt. Qomolangma,the ice and snow on the Namtso Lake,the tide bulge of the Niyang River water,the green crops on Hongtudi (the Red Land) in Dongchuan,Yunnan,the vast grassland in west Sichuan,the colorful autumn forests in Kanasi,the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,the folk customs and cultures of minority groups He has been inspired by every change of the magical nature and human world.

  So we’re captivated by the gorgeous lights and superb shadows shed by his images, which bring us to Hongtudi(the Red Land)in Yunnan in the harvest season and let us feel the joy of bumper harvests, the Roof of the World the sacred and vast Tibetan Plateau, the Populus Euphratica forest stretching to the horizon in Ejina, Inner Mongolia, the fabulous old towns endowed with rich culture and strong flavor of humanity, the rolling up smoke from kitchen chimneys of rural residence, the solemn and quiet snowfield, the glittering waving lakes and green terraces We all are moved to tears by everything on earth full of vigor and vitality. We are also touched by the photographers unremitting hard work and pursuit for his dream and beauty of nature and the human world. In 1981, when Deng first came to Jiuzhaigou in west Sichuan s Nanping County, he was intoxicated immediately by the stunning natural scenery and landscape. He had never expected that the sky could be so blue, the water so clear, the forests so green and exuberant, and the air so fresh. From that very moment onward, I knew my heart would never belong to myself. It started to long for mountains and rivers which are far, far away. He achieved the first gold award in his photographic career thanks to the trip to the wonderland, and since then he has become more passionate for his artistic creation and spiritual pursuit.

  Without any ambition for material gains in photography, Deng concentrates his attention completely on recording everything that in his perspective is beautiful. His works are pure, grand, fine and pleasing to both the eye and the mind. The light and shadow shed from the images paint a vivid world full of vitality and beauty, making the people indulges in a train of thoughts and imaginations and giving them keen visual and esthetic enjoyment.

  When a fascinating view appears before my eyes, I see a world more than physical. Everything is so beautiful and charming. I believe the reflections of mist and dews which always disappear in a twinkling, and the dimples on the water, are greetings and invitations of nature to my heart. So I always try to look for something pure and eternal from them and abandon simple recording and replicating of the beautiful sceneries and landscapes. I wish to bring the beauty and hope to more people after many years. His thoughts are precious in present days when utilitarianism and babbittry prevail in the society. Just as he says: Nature is the source of beauty. Even works of natural sceneries and landscapes come from the harmony between human heart and nature, which touches our souls and inner world. This is a kind of happiness I seek for all my life. In my perspective, we can find uncommon beauty from common things and people around us, because we human beings have eyes of wisdom.

  Mr. Deng often wanders about among old structures and buildings in ancient towns in Sichuan and Chongqing. I'm always touched by the narrow lanes and I'm backstreets, roofs with black tiles, declining doorposts and blocky walls. So when window lamps are lighting up at night, smoke from kitchen chimneys is permeating everywhere, the first ray of morning sun is reflecting on the wall, the doors of teashops and restaurants is open, Deng presses his shutter fast. In my view, they echo the pulse of the ancient towns. I love to light up their faces and evoke the peoples beautiful memories about the past time.

  For every one of us, we are all inspired by his passion for the world of light and shadow, which gives us great surprise and comfort. I attribute the perfectness of his images to his long-term use of large format camera, which has a clear focus, fine color tones and high quality, and his consistent pursuit of perfection of artistic creation. The large format camera gives me greatest happiness I cannot express in words. Though its speed is relatively slow, it lets me more concentrated on the targets before my lens. Deng said.

  Undoubtedly, we're deeply touched by the poetry and wisdom reflected by the photographer's pictures which are humanistic and absolutely natural. We can even feel the photographer's emotion and passion for the people, views and objects on the pictures, which well express his tender heart and artistic thoughts.

  I believe,when we see the images of Mr. Deng, all of us get many ideas of the natural and human beauty, a special kind of spiritual enjoyment, which bring our hearts and minds together.

  I am really marveled at Mr. Deng's Walking Poetically on the Land.
