尽管陈南西从不声张，但好朋友陈粒是她永远绕不过去的话题。这两人高三时被分到同一个文科班，整天叽叽喳喳，有做过“坏同桌”的交情。大学时期，陈粒开始做音乐，本着帮个忙的初衷，也想换个方式玩一玩，陈南西开始写歌了。2015年，她填词的作品首次在陈粒的首张个人专辑《如也》中发布了，歌名是《历历万乡》。

Although Nanxi Chen never blazes it around, Li Chen is always a topic that she cannot keep from. They were classmates during the third year of high school, the two ‘bad’ noisy girls were very in tune with each other. Li Chen started making her music in college. With the intention to help and have some fun, Nanxi Chen began her writing. 2015, her first piece was published in Li Chen’s first Album-“Just Like This”, with the name of “Home Distant”.

感性的嗓音，浓浓的江湖气，《历历万乡》像是从石缝里蹦出来的，新奇又充满旺盛的生命力。再之后，陈粒传进了越来越多双耳朵，成为华语音乐中一个灿烂的名字。

Perceptual voice and sense of roaming and wandering fills the song with life, vibrancy and novelty. Afterwards, Li Chen gradually becomes a known name in Chinese Music Industry.

但对于陈南西来说，一切并没有什么变化。2015年，她已经是国内顶尖律师事务所的一名律师，整日埋头于谈判与合同。年底公司迁址，她跟着公司第一次走进侨福芳草地，在这栋建筑里上班，当时她也并不知道，会诞生出《芳草地》这个作品，成为被许多人无限循环播放的歌曲。

However, nothing has ever changed for Nanxi Chen. She has already been a lawyer in one of the top law firms by 2015，working on negotiation and contracts, all day every day. At the end of the year, the firm moved into Parkview Green FangCaoDi. At that time, she would have never known that the song "FangCaoDi" would become something looping in so many music players.

The Lounge Bridge,

is the FangCaoDi of my own.

“在侨福芳草地写字楼里的我，可是完全没有一个写词人的模样！”陈南西坦率地说。

‘When I was working in Parkview Green FangCaoDi, I didn’t look like a lyrics writer at all.’ Nanxi Chen said it frankly.

当时的她工作繁琐、严密、甚至是吹毛求疵，每天一头扎进成堆的法律意见文书和融资并购合同里，一抬头就可能就是天黑。在位于侨福芳草地的律师事务所上班这两年里，陈南西几乎是这样度过的。

Back then, her work was tedious, rigorous and intensely critical. She was plunged into piles of legal opinion instrument and contracts on financing and merging acquisitions, unaware of the passage of time. Nanxi Chen spent almost two years in such state at the law firm located in Parkview Green FangCaoDi.

“我喜欢芳草地的自然光，喜欢楼下度小月的担仔面和COS的净色套装，但最爱的还是这里的晚上。”

‘I like the natural light in Parkview Green FangCaoDi; I like the Taiwan noodles and plain-color COS suit downstairs. But my favorite, is the night there.’

她手舞足蹈地描绘出一个芳草地的样貌——站在连接大楼间的办公区的廊桥，平时，一眼便能看到地下二层一路延伸到十层的艺术品“空束”。但夜色之下，景致隐没不见，只有风吹过成片的绿色植物发出“沙沙—沙沙—”的响动。

She was describing the Parkview Green FangCaoDi with such joy – standing in the lounge bridge connecting different office areas, usually you could see the art work “Empty Bundle" that is extending from the 2nd floor in basement to the 10th floor on the ground, but this view was fading into the night. All that existed was the sound of wind rustling in the plants.

结束了一天的工作，终于。顺着办公室散步到廊桥，大脑难得放空了，意识也变得轻松。在芳草地廊桥郁郁葱葱的黑夜里，从律师到写词人，陈南西完美地转换了。

Finally, we finish the day, walking from the office to the lounge bridge. Nanxi Chen finally could put her mind and conscious at relaxation. She transformed in to a lyrics writer from a lawyer in the depth of the night.

工作两年，当时的陈南西还是一名新律师，认认真真地吃苦，但心里的棱角依然突出。不习惯接受其他人对自己的价值评判，只想保留自己的权利、选择自己的选择。内心的挣扎和思考在下班后的夜里似乎更加清晰了，所以她把它写在歌里。

For two years, Nanxi Chen was working really hard, still as a new lawyer, but the individual independence in her mind still stood out. Not accustomed to accept other people's judgment on her own value, she just wanted to retain her rights and stick to her own choice. Inner struggles and thoughts seemed clearer at night after work, so she wrote it in the song.

关于《芳草地》这首歌，陈南西有她自己的解释：

“……我希望终有一天，大家各自以自己的尺子丈量自己，而停止对他人的这些体系的评判。……各自珍惜所爱，不论他人长短。“

“有一天我可能会取得普世的成功，或迎来传统的失败。届时在我身上道理和情意横飞，无人在意我的真心时，至少我还记得曾经独自走过的那些路上的灯火阑珊。”

This is Nanxi Chen’s specific explanation on the song "FangCaoDi": "I hope that one day we will see us in our own way and stop judging others from certain perspectives. Cherish what you love and avoid being judgmental.

One day, I may achieve the success or face the failure according to universal standard. When reason and emotions are passing over me and nobody cares about my heart, I will at least remember the lights on the paths I had walked alone. "

建筑内阵阵的“沙沙”声，是只有加班到深夜的人，才能听到的声音。而歌里这一些烦恼的思绪，都发生在芳草地安静的长夜里。

The rustling sound in the building can only be heard by those who work till late night. The mood of annoyance in the song was acquired in the long night working over nights.

During the conversation, a real Nanxi Chen appeared in front of us: trying every restaurant in food court of Parkview Green FangCaoDi, recording daily wear in the bright and spacious restroom of the office building, buying red wine from the CityShop and bringing it to celebrate the New Year's Eve at the workplace... So many trivial details and unforgettable joy, all happened here.

Nanxi Chen is impossible to be defined,

so is FangCaoDi.

写词人南西，是英气逼人的豪情女侠；律师南西，聪明又顽固、勤奋又老成；生活中的南西，总有一些“疯疯癫癫”的段子惹人发笑和琢磨；还有一个心里的她，谁也不清楚真实的样貌，借由一首首歌词抒发。丰富甚至矛盾。

Nanxi the writer, is a heroic swords-woman; Nanxi the lawyer, is smart and stubborn, diligent and mature; Nanxi in life, always makes people laugh and ponder with her cray-cray; another Nanxi that no one knows clearly about, is with rich or even contradictory characters who only expresses herself through lyrics.

如今，陈南西已经不在侨福芳草地的律所工作，没有了那张能通往7层廊桥的工作卡。所幸《芳草地》的歌声里，深夜的沙沙风声已珍藏，所幸昔日通透的阳光仍在。

At present, Nanxi Chen is no longer working at the law firm in Parkview Green FangCaoDi. She does not have the work pass to go to the lounge bridge on the 7th floor. From the beginning of building Parkview Green FangCaoDi, it was required that the building must withstand passage of time and would become a legacy for future generations. After six flying years, Parkview Green FangCaoDi is still very young and sophisticated to define, just like Nanxi Chen, like yourself who refuses to stop.
