艺海无涯，路漫漫兮何其而立？余习画数年，泛览古今圣贤之遗迹，景仰高山，寄情怀抱，往往肃观而叹。中国艺术博大精深，法理既明，又妙在规矩之外。志道据德，依仁游艺，毕生搜讨，厚积薄发。然人责在身，东奔西跑，忙忙碌碌，何曾敢潇散高卧？故每每抽暇于灯下恭习旧典，感悟盛今，钟情山林，揣摩画技，陶养心中造化。今集近年之散作，以呈同道，吾亦可藉此反观自省，求得一超。寻艺甚苦，常得师友相助，且家人有情，甚解吾心。生有涯而知无涯，可否入得庙堂，惟信造化之功矣。

　　The realm of art is boundless, in which one's journey anticipates no end, so what should I do in order to make some real achievements? I have been studying painting for years, and I have read extensively the classic works. However, these artistic legacies are so highly accomplished that I often dwell on the emotions they are conveying and sink in awe. Chinese art is delicate,profound, and of a vast scale. Its laws and techniques seem explicit, but its exquisiteness is often out of the explicit laws and techniques. So if one really wants to be accomplished, he should not only abide the laws and acquire the techniques, but also refine himself to be morally and artistically right, so that he might explore the exquisiteness of art based on the qualities mentioned above with all his life efforts—this is what we usually say, "small accomplishment is based on a long term of extensive accumulation." Sadly, one cannot be spared from his life duties, and the hustle and bustle of life often leaves him no space for leisure, not to mention for serious meditations. My humble achievements owe to my study on the classic works, my thoughts about the contemporary world, my love for nature, my fondness for painting techniques, and my refinement on soul. The collection displayed here consists of works I've painted during the recent years. I'm expecting insightful comments from my counterparts and meanwhile, as a reflection upon myself, to explore the way to exceed the previous achievements, if there is any. The exploration in the realm of art is full of hardship, and thanks to the support from my teachers, friends and my family, it is my family members who are affectionate enough to know what I have been pursuing and made what I am today. Life has an end, while art hasn't. So, whether my works can be popular or not really depends on the affinity between the public and me.
