光绪元宝是清朝光绪年间流通的货币之一。由湖北两广总督张之洞率先引进英国铸币机器铸造银元和铜元，之后各省纷纷仿效。共有十九个省局铸造，除中央户部，地方省所铸铜元，皆在其正面上缘镌写省名。光绪元宝是我国首批引进海外技术的印发流通货币，对于现今也蕴藏了一定历史意义。
Guangxu Yuanbao was one of the currencies circulated in Guangxu during the Qing Dynasty. Zhang Zhidong, governor of Guangdong and Guangdong provinces in Hubei, took the lead in introducing British coin machines to mint silver and copper yuan, which were followed by other provinces. There are nineteen provincial bureaus casting. Except for the central household department, the copper coins cast by local provinces are all inscribed on the upper margin of their fronts. Guangxu Yuanbao is one of the first circulation currencies to introduce overseas technology in China. It also has certain historical significance for today.
奉天省造币厂是目前我国历史最悠久的造币厂，主要生产流通硬币、金银纪念币等。据记载，光绪二十二年，根据盛京将军依克唐阿的奏请，批准设立并筹建奉天机器局以铸造机制银币，从德国进口锅炉和以蒸汽机为动力的铸币机器，于光绪二十三年(1897年)奉天机器局正式建成。“奉天制造银元总局”的前身，是“奉天机器局”。光绪二十四年至二十六年(1898-1900年)，曾先后附铸银币和机制铜钱。光绪二十六年(1900年)义和团运动爆发，奉天机器局毁于战火，后来应市面之需，奉天省在机器局原址重建造币厂，名为“奉天银元总局”，专产银币、铜元。光绪二十九年七月(1903年)，厂竣开工，铸发银币及铜元。
Fengtian Mint is the oldest Mint in China. It mainly produces circulating coins, gold and silver commemorative coins, etc. According to records, in the 22nd year of Guangxu, according to the request of General Yike Tanga of Shengjing, Fengtian Machinery Bureau was approved to set up and prepare for the foundry of machine silver coins. Boilers and steam engine-powered coin machines imported from Germany were formally built in Fengtian Machinery Bureau in the 23rd year of Guangxu (1897). The predecessor of "Fengtian making silver dollar general office" is "Fengtian machinery bureau". From twenty-four to twenty-six years (1898-1900 years), Guangxu has attached silver coins and copper coins. In 1900, when the Boxer Movement broke out in Guangxu, Fengtian Machinery Bureau was destroyed in the war. In response to the market demand, Fengtian Province reconstructed the mint at the original site of the Machinery Bureau, named "Fengtian Silver Yuan General Administration", which specializes in silver and copper coins. Guangxu twenty-nine years in July (1903), the factory started operation, casting silver coins and copper coins.

此枚钱币正面中心直读“光绪元宝”四字，上环“奉天省造”，底部铸“当制钱十文”记值；钱币背面一条栩栩如生的神龙，鳞片清晰，外环英文。钱币包浆熟旧，字样、龙纹十分清晰，品相较好，版面设计优雅，雕刻精良，但是，铸造量不多，所以存世稀少，具有较高的历史价值与学术价值。
The front of the coin reads the four words "Guangxu Yuanbao" directly, the upper ring "Fengtian Province", and the bottom of the coin is marked with "Ten Papers for Money Making". On the back of the coin, there is a vivid dragon with clear scales, and the outer ring is English. The coin purse is old and ripe, with clear characters and dragon patterns, good appearance, elegant layout design and fine engraving. However, because of the small amount of casting, it is rare in existence and has high historical and academic value.
