 郝量：潇湘八景时间：2016.11.4 - 2017.1.8地点：尤伦斯当代艺术中心，中展厅 郝量的绘画实践一直专注于探寻传统中国画的当代可能性。对于古代美术、文学、画论、文献的深入研究，构成了他的工作基础。一方面，郝量在实践中修习、磨炼传统绘画的技艺；另一方面，他试图将当代感知融入水墨这一古老的绘画语言之中。尽管绢本绘画在当代艺术的话语中常为人所忽视，但在过去的诸世纪中，这种艺术形式处于东亚艺术实践的核心地位。此次郝量在UCCA的个展试图将这一艺术实践的线索置于当今年轻艺术家的多元化创作框架中，呈现郝量以“潇湘八景”为题材的一系列新作。潇湘在地理上指湖南湖北境内的洞庭湖一带，而“潇湘八景”并非自然风光的写照，而是在历史中经由文人的追和与想象，并在不断的阐释中营造而成的美学意象。宋代以来，包括董源（公元934年—公元962年）、牧溪（卒于公元1281年）、文徵明（公元1470—公元1559年）等在内的画家们不断地赋予这一题材多样化的视觉形式。在8件巨幅绢本水墨作品（387 × 184 cm）中，郝量也试图围绕这一主题寻找8种不同的切入点构建古今交织的山水时空。 郝量1983年生于四川成都，现工作、生活于北京；2006年毕业于四川美术学院中国画系，获学士学位；2009年毕业于四川美术学院中国画系，获硕士学位。郝量的近期个展包括“郝量：此君”（镜花园，广州，2016）；“幽邃之地：郝量个展”（蜂巢当代艺术中心，北京，2014）。郝量的近期展览包括“山中美术馆”（四方当代美术馆，南京，2016）；“本土：变革中的中国艺术家”（路易威登基金会，巴黎，2016）；“作为窄门的绘画：80后艺术家邀请展”（蜂巢当代艺术中心，北京，2016）；“自·牡丹亭——当代艺术展”（苏州金鸡湖美术馆，苏州，2016）；“罗中立奖学金十周年回顾展”巡展（罗中立美术馆，重庆，2015）；“编辑景观：媒介化之后的个体与工作方式”（蜂巢当代艺术中心，北京，2015）；“交叉小径的花园——15位艺术家的路径与节点”（沪申画廊，上海，2015）；“此时虚造”（中国美术学院美术馆，杭州，2015）。 Hao Liang: Eight Views of Xiaoxiang2016.11.4 - 2017.1.8Central Gallery Hao Liang (b. 1983, Chengdu) engages contemporary themes through expansive compositions in his practiced style. His painting, generally in ink on silk, is based on research into the literature, aesthetics, and scholarship of Chinese antiquity, seeking to revive a genre and its material artistry, and imbue it with a modern sensibility. This exhibition showcases a new cycle of works that takes on the time-honored subject of Eight Views of Xiaoxiang. Offering an allegorically rich structure of eight vistas of Dongting Lake, located between modern-day Hunan and Hubei provinces, the genre has been a favorite among artists and poets since the Song Dynasty, including Dong Yuan (934-962 CE), Mu Xi (d. 1281 CE), and Wen Zhengming (1470-1559 CE). Hao Liang depicts this charged subject in eight large (387 x 184 cm) compositions, using each image to explore the dramatic sublime of China’s contemporary ecological landscape. Hao Liang (born 1983 in Chengdu, China), currently works and lives in Beijing. Graduated with a BA in Fine Arts from Chinese Painting Department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. His recent solo exhibitions includes: Hao Liang: The Virtuous Being at Mirrored Gardens, Guangzhou, 2016; Secluded and Infinite Places: Hao Liang Solo Exhibition at Hive Center for Contemporary Art, Beijing, 2014.
