Chinese artist known for winning an Oscar for Best Production Design on Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, explores the creative side of East London in his new film.
The latest film by Oscar-winning cinematographer and artist Tim Yip is inspired by the unique creative spirit of East London. Titled Love Infinity, the film features numerous creatives from fashion, music, visual arts, and creative industries, such as Stik, Vivienne Westwood, Gilbert & George, and Jonny Woo.
Filmed during a time of economic uncertainty, political division, and climate crisis, the unique art film explores the themes of identity, diversity, and freedom through the words of those who helped shape the city into what it is today. The extraordinary cinematic experience is partly a documentary and partly fiction, presenting a never-before-seen vision of the city. Love Infinity will be available on MUBI, starting from March 24th, 2022. The film is produced by the designer and conceptual arts curator Mei-Hui Liu and artist and photographer Maryam Eisler.
