尽管位于长江三角洲，水网密布、水岸开发的议题常被提及，然而普通市民与水的距离却依然遥远。从宏观层面来看，水质的提升，硬件设施的建设固然有助于滨水潜力的挖掘，然而从微观角度来看，个体观念转变及主动参与对水岸开放也有其重要性。伯恩夏季的漂流人群、阿姆斯特丹内城的小船、福冈的女儿节…...这些易入门的水上活动，不但调动了市民的自主性，也增添了城市生活的情趣。

如何让一个普通的上海市民更容易开展水上活动？ 让一个既不属于游艇俱乐部又不拥有SUV，而只想在某个周末找条人少离家近河道划下船的市民拥有嬉水的可能性？我们的展览将对此情境进行回应。

展览本身由两部分组成，装置和视频。装置将展出一艘我们自己设计、制造、并下水的小船，视频将展示不同国家地区，市民如何自主建造设施开展水上活动的场景。

我们希望这个议题能帮助参观者打开视野，发挥个体能动性，设想与水互动的有趣场景。

Even being part of the Yangtze Triangle where networks where rivers are densely connected, discussions on waterfront development are nevertheless often raised, since the distance between the city-dwellers and the water remains far apart. On a broader sense, higher water quality and building amenities would definitely facilitate exploring waterfront potentials, while more specifically, the change in the individual’s mentality and active participation would also play an important role in developing this area. The floating public in Bonn, the canals in Amsterdam, and the Girls’ Festival in Fukuoka… are all easy-access water activities that not only have stimulated urban engagement, but also have diversified urban life.

How can a Shanghai urbanite have easy access to activities on the water? For the ones that do no becoming to a boating club, nor owning a SUV, but wish to row the boat and enjoy some time on a not too crowded water that’s close to one’s residence? Our exhibition will respond to this kind of scenario.

The exhibition consists of two components, installation and video. We will show a small boat we have designed, fabricated and have tested in the water, and the video will show how urban dwellers in different regions and countries voluntarily constructed water infrastructure and engage in activities on the water.

We hope this subject would open the visitors’ mind, and realize personal potentials, and imagine scenarios where they would interact on the water.
