This is the mind journey of a genuine oriental artist.

The artist had a passionate style in the 1980s, withrepresentative works like Series of Taihang andLoessial Fields. In the 1990s his works in Dunhuangreflected tranquility and sediment. His subsequentworks had portrayed the soul collision during histour in Europe and America. The artist has createdindependent, pure and poetic art language with hisemotion of life, and revealed new possibilities ofthe modern painting through his experience as an artascetic.

With a span of 30 years, these artistic paintings condense the fervent love in thedepth of the artist’s soul. He has constructed his own Utopia, a piece of pure land byabundant, fine and free art language. His artistic expression, crossing domain and race,not only inherits the traditions of romance and beauty in Chinese literature and art, butalso has many new conceptions as a fresh, bright and beautiful exotic flower of art.

He has gone through so many difficulties on the path of art with his tenacity, andarrived in such an artistic realm of grand clearness. Therefore, he can be rated as anoutstanding artist among the contemporary artists. His revelation not only enlightenscontemporary artists, but also opens a new future of art. Those art experiences, full of painstaking efforts, belong to an artist who pursues theart realm of life. With more than one hundred works, he has attached more emphasis onthe exploration of new artistic language and technology in recent years, as well as theunderlying thought and practice on the development of Chinese painting. Such artisticexpression strongly reflects new breakthroughs of the traditional Chinese painting inartistic language and technology. The techniques in his works, with high degree ofprofessional proficiency, have realized some kind of perfection on brush-and-ink andcolor of rice paper art. Those pure and lustrous paintings are just like sounds of nature,surrounded by the spiritual rhyme of life and diffusing faint scent of plants.

The colors and lines are tranquil, simple and elegant, like flowing water. Themelodious rhythm reflecting from the colors and lines are just like sounds of nature.Since his brushwork originated from the source of his spirit, and depicted the soul-stirring and cherished painting content, he had already broken thoroughly with thosedecadent art languages. The road he chose is full of poetic flavor, luxuriant grass andclear streams.
