洛杉矶哈默美术馆近日收到美国豪登希尔德收藏所赠予的60多件中国当代艺术作品，包括摄影、录像和装置。隶属加州大学洛杉矶分校的哈默美术馆是全美排名第六的学院美术馆，拥有洛杉矶最佳的艺术类书店。此次捐赠的作品囊括豪登希尔德夫妇在上世纪90年代至新千年初期所收藏的多件中国当代艺术佳作，主要艺术家包括曹斐、杨福东、施勇、徐震、陈劭雄、耿建翌、刘炜、洪浩、胡介鸣、阚萱、陆春生、王友身、翁奋、杨诘苍、杨勇、余友涵、赵半狄、郑国谷、朱加。

The Haudenschild Collection of contemporary Chinese photographs, video works, and art installations has been donated to the Hammer Museum at UCLA. The Hammer Museum is one of the best college art museums in the United States, and it has the best art bookstore in Los Angeles. The expansive collection of approximately 60 photographic, installation and video works acquired during the 1990s and early 2000s includes pieces by major artists Cao Fei, Yang Fudong, Shi Yong, Yang Zhenzhong, Xu Zhen, Chen Shaoxiong, Geng Jianyi, Liu Wei, Hong Hao, Hu Jieming, Kan Xuan, Lu Chunsheng, Wang Youshen, Weng Fen, Yang Jiechang, Yang Yong, Yu Youhan, Zhao Bandi, Zheng Guogu and Zhu Jia.

美国豪登希尔德收藏是重要的中国当代艺术收藏。新千年初期，伊洛莎·豪登希尔德女士曾策划了重要群展“聚焦：豪登希尔德收藏之中国当代摄影和录像”。展览于2002至2005年期间在美国、墨西哥、中国、新加坡四个国家的五个城市巡回展出，其中包括上海美术馆（2004）和中国美术馆（2005）。这是上海美术馆首次展出私人收藏的中国当代影像艺术，更是中国美术馆第一次举办关于中国当代新媒体艺术的回顾展。展览首次向海外介绍了多位中国最具创造力的年轻艺术家，包括冯梦波、耿建翌、胡介鸣、陆春生、宋涛、施勇、王友身、向利庆、徐震、杨福东、杨振中、赵半狄、郑国谷、朱加。

The Haudenschild Collection is an important collection of contemporary Chinese art. In the early 2000s, Eloisa Haudenschild organised selections from the collection to form the exhibition "Zooming into Focus: Contemporary Chinese Photography and Video from the Haudenschild Collection" that traveled to five cities in the United States, Mexico, China and Singapore, including Shanghai Art Museum, Shanghai (2004) and National Art Museum of China, Beijing (2005). It was the first time the Shanghai Art Museum exhibited works on contemporary Chinese video and photography from a private collection and it was the first retrospective exhibition of new media art ever held at the National Art Museum of China, Beijing. Zooming into Focus investigated the effects of accelerated change in China through the work of some of the country's most talented emerging artists, including Feng Mengbo, Geng Jianyi, Hu Jieming, Lu Chunsheng, SongTao, Shi Yong, Wang Youshen, Xiang Liqing, Xu Zhen, Yang Fudong, Yang Zhenzhong, Zhao Bandi, Zheng Guogu, Zhu Jia.

The Hammer is the perfect home for the collection, according to the donors, because it shares the belief that art can provide significant insight into some of the most pressing cultural, political and social questions of our times. According to the museum's director Ann Philbin, the museum has "defined our primary audience as artists". Visitor numbers are also not limited to the Hammer's own box office but might also include people around the world who log on to the museum's web site to view podcasts of public programs.

The Haudenschild Collection began in the early 1990s with a focus on emerging artists. It includes artworks from the Americas, Europe and Asia; the Latin American collection. In 2006 Frieze Magazine named the Haudenschild Collection one of only two private collections of Chinese art that became publicly accessible outside and inside China. The Haudenschilds' commitment to collecting and exhibiting contemporary Chinese video and photography has been internationally recognised.
