哈斯宝力格出生在内蒙古额济纳旗，毕业于西安美术学院油画系。作为一个土生土长的蒙古汉子，又深受中原汉文化的熏陶和影响，当他多年后重返故土时，他开始用不同以往的角度去看家乡。他没有过多去表现那些风吹草低见牛羊的场景，而是把镜头对准了父老乡亲那平凡的面孔。他作品中的人物平实而自然，并没有刻意的穿上本民族特有的服装，有的甚至不那么像蒙古族人，这和那些外族人出于“去远方”的冲动，或为满足对异域风情和视觉奇观的猎奇心理而拍摄的作品有很大不同。
九月是家乡景色最美的时节，每年这个时候，他都不能自已的想要回到那梦绕魂牵的地方去创作，对他来说这是一种“疗伤”。他的人物特写大多是用中焦近距离拍摄而很少使用长焦，他和他们充分交流成为知心朋友，他贴近他们用镜头捕捉他们真实的内心世界，纪录他们的喜怒哀愁，融入自己的真情实感，有些人他甚至跟拍了10年，他发现他们在变，自己也在变。很少有人像他这样用心的“纪录片”式的去摄影，这大概出于他对家乡的那份情思吧。
我特别喜欢“土尔扈特”那组照片，他说那是在内蒙古的最西部，地图上“鸡背”的地方拍摄的，那里的颜色是金黄色的，气候极度干旱，生存环境恶劣，那里的人每天被大自然、风沙拍打着，人变得很柔和，当地人说这叫“地硬人软”。从人物那布满“沟壑”的脸庞和沉静的目光中我们看到了饱经风霜的沧桑，感受到生命的不屈和坚强。
“乌珠穆沁”那组照片似乎更接近我们一般人对内蒙古的印象，那是一片绿色的肥沃富饶的土地，镜头中的人物也变得高大魁梧，威风凛凛，这应该叫做“地软人硬”吧。
“侨归”拍摄的是一个特殊人群，他们从蒙古国回到了祖国的怀抱，他们身上有着不一样的人文印痕……
哈斯宝力格用镜头向我们讲述着那块土地上的动人故事，记录着他那刻骨铭心的美丽乡愁。

Preface

Hasibaolige was born in Ejin Banner, Inner Mongolia, He was graduated from the Department of Oil Painting, Xi 'an Academy of Fine Arts. As a man born and raised in Inner Mongolia and deeply influenced by Central Plains Chinese culture, after years back to his native land, He begins to explore this homeland in a different sight. He didn’t spend much time of filing scenes where ‘The wind blows the grass to see the cattle and sheep ‘, instead he focus on the fellow countryman. In his photography, characters are nature and plain, have no means to put on the native costumes by purpose, some of characters not even looks like Mongolia people. His work has huge differences from the photos taken by foreigners who with ideas of "Into the distance ", or who trying to satisfy their curiosity about exotic charm and visual spectacles.

September is the most beautiful season is his hometown, at this time of the year, he can hardly control his passion to creating in the wonderland, and it’s a form of healing for him. Most of His Close-up portraits are shooting at close range with medium focus and barely use of long focus lens, he and the characters have fully communications and become intimate friends, he take photos closely and capture their inner worlds, recording their joys and sorrows, blend into his true feeling. He has following shot of some of his characters for at least ten years, he found out that they are changing but he changed with them as well. Not many photographers take photos like him in the thoughtful "documentary" style, probably because his deeply love for his hometown.

I especially like the set of photographs called ‘Torgut‘, He said those photos were taken from the westernmost from Inner Mongolia, from the ‘back of rooster’ (northwest of China).Where the color is gold, the climate is extremely dry, the environment is tough. Those people there were beaten by nature, wind and sand every day, and their heart become soft, which locals calls that "hard soil born tender heart". From the characters' faces full of "gullies" and calm eyes, we saw the weather-beaten vicissitudes, and felt the unyielding and toughness of life.

The photos of ‘Ujimqin’ seems much closer to our general impression of Inner Mongolia, which is a fertile land full of green, and the characters in the scene have become mighty tall and majestic-looking, which should be called "soft soil born tough people".

The photos called "Return to homeland" was focus on a special crowd, they returned from Mongolia to embrace their motherland, they have a different kind of humanity imprint...
